最近、再びラジオをよく聴いています。ラジオ番組を作っていた頃はもちろんある程度は聴いていましたが、しばらくはほとんど聴かない生活をしていました。ラジオは時報代わりにはなるのですが、とにかく朝は子供の世話で忙しい。音楽をかけるなんて余裕がなく、本当にご無沙汰だったのでした。
ところが、今は、タイムフリーで聴くアプリがありますね。radiko（ラジコ）です。タイムフリーで、古巣のジョン・カビラさんの番組や（彼の番組で、10年以上仕事をしていました）、それから今は、スピッツの草野さんがやっている番組、こちらも昔の仕事仲間がやっているということから聴き始めたのですが、筋トレ中に音だけ欲しいというニーズにタイムフリーのradikoはぴったり！今朝も草野さんの番組で「頭出し」、または「タンタンタコタコ」というスネアのリズムのことを初めて知ったり、そのあとはカビラさんの番組で、彼の変わらぬ雄叫びを聴いたり、生素材録りを聴きつつ、本当にすごい人だなあと今さらながら思ったり。時間切れでKREVAさんのMUSICLICKが最後まで聴けなかったことが残念！ラジオのいいところは、自分だけでは探しに行かないような曲に偶然出会えることがひとつに挙げられるかと思います。今日も一曲、気に入る曲に出会いました。
ラジオ制作は大好きだったので、ラジオ番組を聴くとあの頃の思い出がいろいろと蘇ってきます。確かに今の時代、ラジオも厳しい部分はありますが、いつまでたってもパーソナル、個人的な媒体であることに、やっぱりI love radio!と思わずにはいられないのでした。
Recently I listen to radio often. While I worked to make radio shows, I obviously listened to radio shows to some extent but I barely listened to any shows for a while. Radio is only sound and you can use it as a clock, but I am really busy in the morning taking care of the kids. Thus I couldn't afford to enjoy a show for a while.
But thanks to the technology. We don't have to listen to radio shows real-time. It's radio in Japan's case. What I like to listen to is JK Radio Tokyo United hosted by Jon Kabira, my old colleague for over ten years of radio productions and Masamune Kusano's Rock Tairiku Manyuki. He is the frontman of a Japanese band Spitz. My former colleague also makes the show so that's why I started to listen, but they are perfect because I only want to hear the sound while I work out. I learned a new word called "atamadashi" or "tan tan takotako," which means a certain rhythm snare drums make and Jon almost singing very loudly at each hour, or was amazed how talented he is, when he was recording live some of his voice samples for their 10th anniversary theme music a musician KREVA was making. I wish I could've finished the show while I was at the gym! Needed to head to a studio class.
One of good things about radio is they accidentally bring you kinds of music you wouldn't otherwise try to listen. I encountered today as well a song I liked.
I loved making radio shows. Listening to a radio show reminds me of those days I was involved in radio productions. It may not be an easy time for radio production but I still love radio because it's such a personal medium.
