昨日は、生まれたばかりの友人の赤ちゃんに会いに行ってきました！ 3,300gなのでいまどきの赤ちゃんにすれば大きいのですが、見慣れているのが自分の子どもなので、新生児はとても小さく、本当に守るべき存在だと感じました。
いま、まだ名前を二つの中で迷っているという段階で、そういう時期も懐かしく思い出しました。
近頃、訃報が届いたりもしていたので、こうして、新しい命の誕生を見ることができてとても嬉しいです。命の鼓動を感じることは、無条件に元気をもらえますよね。子どもはやはり、エネルギーの塊であり、その存在だけで元気がもらえるので、高齢化を突っ走る日本は、本当にもっと子どもを大切にする文化や政策を真面目に考えた方がいいと思います。赤ちゃん、子どもは騒音だとかという意見もありますが、高齢者ばかりの街だと、静かかもしれませんが命の息吹を感じることは少ないと思いますね。赤ちゃんから高齢者まで、共存し、認め合う社会になるようにと願っています。
愛らしい男の子の誕生、本当におめでとう！
I went to meet my friend's baby just born this week. He weighs more than 7 pounds so is rather big for Japanese baby standard, but to me, the newborn was so tiny since I'm used to being surrounded by much bigger children of mine, and babies are really meant to be protected when just born.
My friend told me she and her husband are still deciding a name between two, which seems a long time for us.
I am so happy to see a new life born as I heard sad news someone passing away. It unconditionally gives you power when you sense a life that beats. Children are a lump of energy and bring us good vibes feeling alive as they just are there, so I truly think we should have a culture and policies treating children more importantly while we speed up the ageing society. Some say babies or children make noise so they cause trouble but think if we had only aged people in town. It might be quiet but you wouldn't have a breath of life. I hope we will have a diverse society including babies to the elderly to live together and accept each other.
