今日、ジョギングをしていたら、金木犀のいい香り。うちの近所は先週くらいから香りがしています。金木犀が香ると、夏の終わりが本格的だなと感じさせられますね。
一方、公園の中では銀杏の匂いがして、これまた秋だなと感じさせられました。決していい匂いじゃないですけど、味は美味しいんですよね。割るのが大変なので、わたし自身は集めませんけど、銀杏が落ちる時期は拾っている人を見かけます。日本の秋の風物詩、これからあっという間に寒くなっていくのかな。暑い夏の最中は辟易していたけれど、涼しくなると寂しくなってしまうという矛盾を毎年抱えています。
When I was jogging today, I smelled fragrant olives. They started blooming since last week around my house. When I smell the scent, that means summer of the year is officially over.
In the meantime, I smelled ginkgo nuts at a park. It's another thing of a fall. They don't smell nice but taste good, don't they? It's hard to crack them so I don't collect those, but I see people collecting gingko nuts when they fall on the ground. This is also another typical autumn scene. Wonder if it's going to be cold rapidly. I so wish summer to be over when it's so humid and hot, but once it's cool, I miss summer. It's such a contradiction.
