ずっとフリーランスで仕事をしてきたわたしにとって、導いてくれる人というのはほとんどいませんでした。しがらみがなく自由はあるけれども、孤独と責任を一人で負うというのがフリーランスの宿命です。
フリーランスといっても、よく出入りするクライアントがあると気持ちは落ち着くでしょうね。わたしにとっては、ラジオがその存在でした。テレビの仕事の時のように、毎回担当者が変わるわけではなかったので、皆がチームメイトとして仕事をし、今でも仲が良いのが何よりの宝物です。
ちなみに仕事をしていたJ-WAVEが今年10月1日に開局30周年を迎え、特別番組をたくさん組んでいました。一緒に仕事をしたり知り合いのナビゲーターの方の声がたくさん聞けてとても楽しかったです。西麻布のスタジオのことも思い出しました。
さて、そんな環境だったので、仕事上でメンターという存在が全くいませんでした。ずっと欲しいと願い続けていたものの、同業者には出会ってもメンターとの出会いはずっとありませんでした。
それが、観愛先生との出会いによりわたしもダイエット講師を志し、こうして先生のメソッドで今生徒さんを抱える身になったわけですが、わたしにとっては先生がメンターだと、マスターを取得することを決めた時から思っていたような気がします。
今でもちょっとした疑問をよく質問するのですが、本当に丁寧に答えていただき感謝しています。
キャリアの中ではずっと一人でふらついていたけれども、少しずつ錨を降ろすかのように指針となる道ができていけば嬉しいと思っています。
I'd had almost no one to lead me in my career since I've been freelance. I don't have any troublesome human relationship just because you belong to a company and am quite free, but freelancers also ought to take solitude and responsibility on their own.
If you have clients you frequently go to, then you can be much calmer even if freelancing. For me, it was radio. I always had the same people for years and we worked as teammates. It's my treasure that we still keep in touch.
By the way Tokyo-based FM radio station J-WAVE marked its 30th anniversary on October 1 this year and they had many special programs. I had fun hearing some recognizable voices. Reminded me of the previous studio in Nishiazabu too.
Working in that kind of environment, I never had a mentor in my career. I always wanted to have one, but unfortunately never although I met people doing the same job.
But when I decided to take this diet method's master certificate through my own dieting by meeting my coach Mia and now I actually have my own students too, I thought I she would be my mentor.
I still ask her questions frequently even they are little things, she always answers immediately and with details so I am very grateful.
I was wandering around in my career, but I hope my path will be built to light me as if I put anchors in the sea.
