この秋は、動くことを意識しています。といっても運動の話ではなく、人とつながることです。
今日は、制作業の同業者に会いました。わたしのように、日本で海外制作をプロデュースしている人は多くなく、いろいろと人と会いたいと思い、今年に入ってから周りのカメラマンさんなどに紹介を頼み、会おうとしてきましたが、とにかくうまくいきませんでした。わたしに時間がある時期はお相手が忙しく、日程調整を半年以上続けてきました。
その方たちとはまだお会いできていませんが、もう一つ、別の人にウェブサイトから連絡をして、今日、ようやく会うことができました！ もしかすると４年ぶりに同業者と会うことができたかも。
アメリカ人のプロデューサーで、わたしはほとんど手がけたことのないコマーシャルのプロデュースもやっている方でした。いろいろとお互いのことを話すことができました。やっぱり一歩踏み出せば動きますね。
I am conscious to act this fall. It's not about workout. I try to connect people.
I met a production colleague today. There are not so many media producers based in Japan for foreign productions and I have been wanting to meet people doing the same thing. I've asked around to introduce them so a DoP in Japan for example introduced someone and I've tried to meet her, but it hasn't been realized yet. When I have time, she is busy. It's been like this for more than six months.
I haven't met them yet, but the producer I met today was someone I contacted through their company website. I finally met another producer today for the first time in maybe four years or so!
He is an American producer doing commercials too, which I have almost never done. We talked about jobs we've done. If you take one step forward, things move.
