友人の赤ちゃんを見に行きました。生まれた時はわたしだけがお祝いに行きましたが、うちの家族としての訪問はまだだったので、ここでようやく。前に会った時は生後数日だった子ですが、３ヶ月経ち、まだ首は座っていないもののずいぶん外の世界に興味が出てきたようで、音に反応したり笑ったり、可愛かったです。
うちの子どもも、可愛い、とメロメロ。赤ちゃんって、何もできないから、だからきっとあれほど可愛い存在なんですね。こちらが何でもしてあげたくなるような存在。いてくれるだけで愛おしい存在。
この子がどんどん育っていくのを見るのが楽しみです。Y、おめでとう！
I visited my friend, who had a baby recently. When the baby was born, I went to see her at the hospital but we haven't visited them as a family, so I went to their place with my children. The baby was only a few days old when I met him, but now it's been three months and although he cannot lift up his head yet, he is interested in the world surrounding him. He was reactive to sounds and smiled. So cute.
My girls also loved him. Babies really cannot do anything on their own. That's why they are made so adorable. They make us think we want to do anything for them. They are lovable just being there.
