先日、伊勢神宮へ行ってきました。二度目です。1度目は、G7があった時にイギリスのBBCの仕事で行っていました。数年前のことです。
行った時は日曜日でとても混んでいました。特にアジア系の観光客の方が以前と比べて多いと感じました。アジアの方の観光は、日本にとって今は非常に重要な財政減になっていると感じます。
なぜ20年ずつ、建て直しをするんでしょうね？ 相当木材を使っていると思うので、いつまで続くのだろうなんてことも思ってしまいました。
緑が多く、長寿の木々に囲まれると気持ちいいですね。今回は家族で行けたので、それも嬉しかったです。
We went to Ise Jingu Shrine the other day. It was my second time. I went there a few years ago when we had a G7 meeting in Japan and I was there for BBC coverage.
This time, it was really crowded partly because it was Sunday. Especially there were so many tourists from neighboring countries in Asia. I think it is really important for Japan's economy to have visitors from Asia.
I also wonder why they rebuilt the shrine temples every 20 years. They must use a lot of woods, so how long can it last doing it?
It was very nice to be surrounded by green and old trees. It was also nice that we went there as a family.
