先日、たまたま「旧尾崎邸保存プロジェクト」というものを知りました。漫画家の山下和美さんが発足した、世田谷区で一番古い洋館を守るべく、取り組んでいる方々のプロジェクトだそうです。
去年の夏取り壊される予定だったこの館が、プロジェクトメンバーの皆さんや支援者により保存されることになったらしいのですが、古い建物は維持するのに費用がかかります。だからこそ、日本ではどんどん古い建物は取り壊されるんですよね。その方が安上がりだから。でも、そんなことをしていたら街としての魅力が薄れていきます。
山下さんの話は好きなものが多いですが、このプロジェクトの顛末が気になり、『世田谷イチ古い洋館の家主になる！』という漫画を買いました。（写真はイメージ）
I recently learned about "Kyu Ozakitei Hozon Project (Former Ozaki House Preservation Project.)" The manga artist Kazumi Yamashita launched this to preserve the olderst western style house in Setagaya, Tokyo.
It was planned to be demolished last summer, but she, other people from the project and supporters made an effort to turn over the decision in the end, but maintaining old buildings costs. That's why we keep losing old buildings here. It's a attraction as a town with historical buildings and it's so ashamed to lose them.
I like her stories and this thing grabbed my attention. I bought the first series to draw about this project called "Setagaya Ichi Furui Yokan No Yanushininaru! (We Will Become To Be The Owner Of The Oldest Western House In Setagaya!)" (Photo is irrelevant)
