さあ、自民党の総裁が決まりました。印象としては、長い物には巻かれていきそう。
でもこれは、たかが一党のトップを決める選挙です。もっと重要なのは、わたしたちが実際に投票する衆院議員選挙です。
調べたのですが、今や半分行くか行かないかの日本の国政選挙率は、1990年では70%超えていたのに1993年には67%、1996年には59%と急落しました。バブル崩壊と関係がありそうですね。人々の余裕がなくなり、選挙への関心が薄れたんでしょうか。
どんな世代の人たちにも、この数十年間でどれだけ日本が貧しくなり、安定しない雇用が増えたか、この先未来を担う子どもたちに何を残しているのかをしっかり考えてから投票をして欲しいと思います。投票に行かないなんて、問題外。一人一人に責任がありますよ！

I found out the voting rates in 1990 was more than 70% while 67% in 1993, and 59% in 1996. 1990 was the year our bubble economy bursted. People might have lost an interest in politics because more people suffered financially? Maybe?
I want everyone in any generation to think how economy has gotten worse over the past few decades and how many more unstable jobs we've had. What legacy do we have for the kids who take our future? It's our responsibility to go vote, please!
