今回の課題/Assignment This Time

 さて、先日のKeiko先生のところでは、先週歩いていて左足の脛が張ったという話をし、見てもらったところ、右足がつい外側に行ってしまうため左足を酷使し、なおかつ左足の太腿の内旋が大きいために脛を使ってしまうということでした。まずは右足の距骨を調整する動きを教えてもらいました。

 そのあと肋骨をほぐすことに専念。背中が少しずつ整ってきたので、やってみようということでした。とにかく呼吸。肋骨が開きっぱなしのわたし、呼吸の練習中は吸うのは短く、吐く息をなるべく長くと教わりました。こうやって書いている間も、吸うのは短く吐くのをなるべく長くしています。そうやって少しずつ肋骨を閉じることを体に覚えさせていきます。

 同時に手で脇腹を押さえながら捻り、手助けをすることも教えてもらいました。やった直後は肋骨閉まるんですよね。でもすぐに開いてしまいます。肋骨のきわを指でマッサージするのもわたしみたいにガチガチの肋骨持ちには効果的だそう。次までは、そこを重点的に!

In the last physical training with Keiko sensei, I told her I felt tension on my left shin when walking a lot for a few days. She took a look and told me that my right foot and toes don't hold the ground well and I need to support the right leg with the left leg more. And my left thigh goes inward so I cannot use my left leg properly either. She told me how to adjust my talus bones.

After that, I focused to stretch the rib area. My back is gradually getting better so she wanted me to try to stretch the area. Breath is important here. My ribs keep open so I need to try to close them when breathing out. I should breathe in short and out longer to make my ribs close that open all the time. As writing here, I am trying to breathes out longer to make my ribs be able to move as breathing.

At the same time, she taught me to help the ribs move with my hand. They need some support since they are so fixed.

I can obviously tell the ribs close a lot more after that, but they open again really quickly. I need to stretch around my belly. That's what I am going to work on till the next lesson.
