今日は用事があり、行ったことのない駅まで行きました。西武新宿線、人生でほとんど乗ったことがありません。注意深く携帯の乗り換え情報を見ながら、電車に乗りました。
次の用事まで時間があったので地元の喫茶店でもあれば入りたいと思っていましたが、駅の周りには残念ながら見当たらず。結局大きめの乗り換え駅にあったスターバックスでコーヒーをいただきました。
ちょうど学生さんがいる時間帯で、グループで甘い飲み物と一緒におしゃべりしていました。わたしの学生時代にはスタバはありませんでしたが、ショッピングモールのフードコートに座っておしゃべりしていたのを思い出すな。場所が変わってもやることは同じ。話は尽きませんよね。わたしも、コロナで随分会っていない友人に連絡を取ってみようかなと思ったりしました。
I had an errand today so went to the station I'd never gone. I have barely used Seibu Shinjuku Line in my life. I was carefully looking at my phone when transferring.
I was hoping to kill time in the area if finding a nice local cafe but unfortunately there was none around the station. I ended up going to a Starbucks at the transferred station for coffee.
It's about time when students hang around. There was a group of girls chatting with sweet drinks. I didn't have Starbucks when I was a student so we would go to a food court in the shopping mall to chat. You never run out what to talk about, right? I might contact some friends I haven't seen since the pandemic in Tokyo has been mild.
