音楽業界の知り合いは毎年興奮していますが、今年もなかなかに反響があります。
同時に、NoOlympicsLAという団体は、オリンピックもスーパーボウルもそこに住んでいる労働者のためにはならないという記事を出したりして、確かに巨額のお金が動くイベントですが、それはどれだけ地元の人のためになっているか。
オリンピックも、例えばコロナ禍でなく観光が期待されたとしても、結局一瞬のこと。私たちは巨大ビジネスの利権のことを見ようとせず、そのイベントを楽しむつもりですが実際は搾取されているのではないか？という視点も大事だなと思いました。もちろん、世界的なイベントが行われる興奮、思い出などはあるだけに難しい問題ですけど。
