いつもお願いしている有機野菜の農家さんが、今、端境期でおやすみ。その間、有機農法の育てている野菜を色々な場所から取り寄せたり買いに行っているのですが、やはりどこの農家さんでも今は端境期なので、種類が少ないです。
そういう時期なので仕方がないのですが、味や値段に納得できるところを探すのがなかなか難しいです。いかに、普段お願いしている農家さんが美味しいものをたくさん送ってくれるかに気づきます。
あと、東京の中でなく遠くの直売所に行くと、値段が安いことに驚かされます。ただ遠いとしっちゅう行くわけにはいかないので、基本的には生協や近所のスーパーの中にある、地域の直売所的な店に行くことが多くなります。
普段の農家さんは４月の下旬か５月上旬には再開とは言っていたので、その時が待ち遠しいです。
The farmer I regularly ask to send us vegetables has a lean month now so we don't receive anything until he resumes. In the meantime, I try different farmers but any of them have the same situation more or less, so there isn't a variety of produce available.
It's not been so easy to find a good farmer for me, both for the taste and price. This makes me realize how well balanced my farmer is.
I am amazed how cheap produce is when I go to shops in the countryside, but I cannot spend too much time regularly so basically I order vegetables at COOP or shops who handle direct produce from different farmers at a supermarket.
My farmer should be resuming to send us vegetables in a few weeks. Can't wait!
