昨日は、２年半ぶりに友人と会いました。彼女とは、子どもの学校近くの公園で偶然出会いました。彼女の子はうちと学年は違いますが、お互いにその春に子どもが学校に通い始め、学校関係の知り合いが全くいない時にできた、初めての友人です。
お互いの家が遠いので、会うのは１年に１回程度。今回はコロナもあり、なんと２年半ぶりでした。彼女の出身の国の話を聞くのもいつも楽しく、今度はもう少し感覚を置かずに会えますように。
I met a friend for the first time in 2.5 years. I met her at the park near the school our children go to. Her child is in the different grade and that was soon after they started the school. So we were the first friend to each other that we made from the school.
Where we live is totally in different areas, so we see once a year. This time, because of the pandemic, it had gone 2.5 years already... It's fascinating to hear about her country too. I hope we will see each other sooner.
