数日続いている、知床の遊覧船事故。気になっています。見つかった方は全員亡くなられ、未だ船の行方も判明せず。本当に心が痛い出来事です。
会社の社長が交代したここ数年で、それまで船長を務めていたベテラン勢を追い出す、危険な時も船を出す、地域の同業他社と組んでいる協力体制から脱退した、事務所の無線は壊れたまま、毎年新しくする海水で腐食する部分を修理しない、など、もう、数え切れないずさんな実態が報じられています。
たった一人が代わるだけで、これだけ全体のシステムが崩れることの恐ろしさ。どんな政権でも、批判されることなく長期に渡ると腐敗が始まるということも歴史から読み取れます。
どんな立場でもフラットに意見が言える環境と、権力がひとところに留まらない制度づくり。これがどんな場でも重要になると思っています。
今回の事故で行方不明の方々の捜索が進むよう、祈っています。
I've been caring about the boat accident in Shiretoko, Hokkaido. Those found are all dead so far and whereabout of the boat hasn't been detected. It's very heartbreaking.
Ever since the chief of the company changed, the long-term employees were kicked out, they would leave the port when the weather wouldn't be safe, they left the alliance of the same business in the area, the office radio remained broken, they hadn't fixed the part where they'd need to renew every year. There are countless signs now reported telling they could have a big accident one day.
Only one person changed in a system and the whole thing collapsed. It applies to administrations too. Any administration can corrupt if they dictate, not allowing criticism and it remains long. History tells.
What's important is to have an environment for any one can criticize fairly and the power doesn't stay in one position.
