Do Not Stretch Back Of Neck

I was told not to stretch the back of my neck. This is about me. Everyone has different postures so please remind this necessarily applies to you, but I still think this is the case for many of us.

I had a bad stoop until a few years ago. Because my face positioned too front for a long time, I still have a difficult time to put my head in a right position. As training physically regularly, I barely have a stiff shoulder but my neck is chronically stiff. I feel a stiffness. It feels good when I stretch the back of my neck so I put my neck on the foam roller or a ball to stretch.

My personal trainer pointed it out. My face sticking out too front means the neck of my neck is stretched too much and the front side is too shrinking and stiff. What I should do when I feel a stiffness on the back of my neck is to stretch the front side. You don't want to stretch the part that's already stretched too much.

So she taught me how to stretch the front side of my neck and collarbone. It's fun to learn things one by one.
