Care For Others

I don't like to think "do not cause trouble for others" that so many people nowadays say in Japan. When you raise children, are old, or disabled, it's totally fine to depend on each other. That's life.

But let me write about someone I think didn't have a caring or considerate attitude.

After running an errand, I dropped by the cafe. It was right before noon and busy there with people. I am about to sit at the table for six, and the only woman sitting there said "sorry, it's taken."

"I see, you are expecting some people," say I. I go to the seat by the windows. Her friends didn't show up until I was about to leave after a coffee. The group of three moved to another area with more comfortable table for four.

Again. It was a crowded cafe. She was sitting there alone asking the others not to sit for 20 minutes. Is it impudent or not?

I learn from others' behavior or wording. That's all I can do!
