今年の自動車税の納税通知書がきました。なぜ、日本では車が古くなると自動車税が高くなるのでしょうね。新しい車をどんどん買うように仕向けたいがため、としか思えないんですよね。
私は古いものを大事にしたいと思う部分があります。もちろん最新機器でいいと思って買うものもありますが、基本的に色々なデバイスはすぐに買い換えることなくなるべく長く使いたいもの。今の車も古いですが、元の所有者から譲ってもらった、思い入れのある車なので走れなくなるまで乗るつもりです。古い車の方が税金を安くするというマインドになればいいのに、と思っています。
I received the notice for automobile tax this year. Why is it higher when a car is older? I feel the government wants us to buy a new car sooner.
Part of me wants to treasure old things. Of course another part me wants latest devices, but I try to use my devices as long as they last. Our car is old. We got it from someone we know and we don't want to let it go when it works fine. I hope the policy will change that we can get less taxes when we use things longer.
