今日は、数年ぶりの友人家族との再会の日。出会いはもう15年くらい前でしょうか、その時その友人は東京に住んでいました。
その後仕事でフランスに行き、ドイツ人の彼と出会い、ドイツに住むようになりました。そして結婚をし、今は3児の母。夫の仕事の都合で中国に住んでいるアメリカ人です。
その友人家族が、この春、日本に観光に来ているので今日会うことになっています。最後に会ったのは、多分私たちがドイツの教会で結婚式を挙げたとき？ 6、7年経ってそうです。
夏にはアメリカから友人も来ると聞いているし、コロナで会えなかった人たちに徐々に会えるのが嬉しいです。
I will see my friend and her family today in years. I think it was about 15 years ago when I met her. She live in Tokyo at the time. Then she went to France for work, met her German boyfriend there. They got married and live in Germany now with three kids. For her husband's work, they currently live in China.
They are traveling in Japan this spring so we plan to see today. It's been six or seven years since we last met when we had a wedding at the church in Germany.
Another friend living in the States is coming to Japan this summer. It's so nice to see the people we haven't seen since the pandemic.
