今回の京都旅行では、小中学の時の友人に久々に会いました。
彼女とは、同じ学校に通っているときはそこまで話す仲でもなかったのですが、高校時代に駅で会った時などにしゃべるようになり、そこで気が合うことがわかり、細く長く続いているというような関係です。
特に私が故郷を離れてからは、会うことも少なくなり、実に今回10年以上ぶりの再会。ですが、会った時から話は尽きず、続きは一緒に旅行でもして話そうということになりました。
年賀状だけは続いていた友人ですが、こういう風に一瞬にして若かった時代に戻れる関係性もあるんですね。本当に楽しかったです。時間がなくて、高校の時の友人には連絡しませんでしたが、またそのうち。
I met a friend from the elementary school.
We didn't talk much when we were young, but got closer in high school when we saw at the station. We hadn't met more than 10 years even though we had some greeting cards exchanged over the years. But we were drawn back instantly to the time when we were children once we saw.
We could've talked a lot more and said we should travel together sometime to catch up more.
I really had a great time. I didn't contact another friend from high school since I knew I would not have enough time, but I am sure I will have a chance to contact the friend.
